Notre Dame Convent Church

The Notre Dame monastery church is also known among the people of Trenčín as the Church of the Nurses. The school sisters de Notre Dame have been in Trenčín since 1921. At that time, they started working in a burgher and kindergarten, which was located near the church.
The church of Notre Dame was built in 1909 in the neo-Romanesque style. It is located a short distance from the square at the Secondary Vocational School of Education of St. Andreja - Svorada and Benedikta on 1.maja street.
The murals and the Way of the Cross are the work of the Slovak painter Petr J. Kern.
The interior and exterior of the church are historically beautiful and regularly maintained. The interior of the church consists of the main altar, organ, pulpit, confessional, side altar. The Church of Notre Dame belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Trenčín, the dean's office of Trenčín, the diocese of Nitra.
